Huge Thanks to Special Donors for Antrim Street Repairs

Homegrown Homes would like to thank the following donors who helped fund the urgent repairs needed for our Antrim Street facility. The units house Community Living tenants who depend on motorized scooters and electric wheelchairs for their mobility. These tenants were unable to manouever safely outside the house because of extensive repairs needed to the sidewalks and rampways around the property, and to the patio area.

Our tenants now have the capacity to manouever safely around the property to the exterior patio where they can now sit and enjoy the late summer and early fall weather and utilize the BBQ, thanks to the generous donations from the following community-minded citizens:

Erica Cherney

Deanna Dow

Isabel Henniger

Janet Lafortune

Heather Stelzer

Nancy Waddell

Thank you all for your kind generosity! Homegrown Homes is now in a position to move forward and provide urgent repairs to our other projects, thanks to these loyal supporters of affordable housing in our community. It just goes to show what great things can be done in Peterborough when everyone rallies together!

Homegrown Homes is also very grateful to The Home Depot Foundation for providing the funds necessary for the renovations and to Post Form Products for donating a new counter top for this project. Great teamwork everyone! We could not have done it without you!
